CTRS POSITION AVAILABLE
Due to heavy expansion further across the State of Michigan, Strive, Inc. is a small out patient, home- based Recreational Therapy Service organization is seeking creative, loyal, ambitious, multi- talented individuals to work primarily with the Physical Rehabilitation population.
Persons must be a self- motivator and work well with diversity. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing, implementing, evaluating, and recording individual and group recreation therapy programs/ sessions. We are hiring qualified persons to work with individuals with disabilities within one of the three different regions: 1. the Saginaw and Northern Michigan area, 2. Greater Lansing area, and 3. the Metropolitan Detroit area. Qualified persons will work closely with but not limited to other residential day treatment programs, home health care agencies, community and commercial recreation departments to offer therapeutic recreation programs.
Experience in working with community outreach and working with individuals of all abilities a must. Successful candidate must have 2-3 years working experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and the CTRS credential (or CTRS exam eligible). Work week includes some nights and weekends, but hours are very flexible. Contingent hours up to 30 hours per week. Individuals will be Independent Contracts upon hire and will be required to have certain paperwork completed prior to initial start date.
